Lincolns in the movies and TV

If it is Lincoln-related and doesn't seem to fall in the other categories or you just can't figure out where to put it, put it here!

There's a new Trailer Park Boys movie coming out next summer, I think. Also they're supposed to be starting up an internet only program. By the way, I am in the second TPB movie! It was a live show at Massey Hall in Toronto, at the end when people were filing out. Mike Clattenberg (the director) came on stage and announced, "If you return to your seats, you agree to be in the next Trailer Park movie and you won't get paid a dime!" Everyone rushed back and he did hand-held camera work of J-Rock doing one of his performances. If you watch that scene, me and a friend of mine are in the upper right balcony. Can't see us, but we're there. The live show was pretty twisted, especially the part where women from the audience removed cat shit from litter pans with their teeth! :dpuke:
(I hate to spoil it, but they were Tootsie rolls in pans of oatmeal :D )

Does anyone have any idea of the fate of the car used in the Godfather where Sonny is gunned down at the tollbooth? Junked? Restored? I have a book, "The Annotated Godfather" which has a lot of good info and there's a great photo of James Caan after that scene where's he's all bloodied and he's relaxed and having a smoke. But, there's no info about what was done to the car afterwards.

A few weeks ago I think I saw the one he drives up with in a YouTube video. Not sure if it was an auction video or a collector/museum video.

Well it's a TV show, so maybe not, but yeah, in the first season or two the opening credits used a nice overhead pan of one of those stretched '79 Continental limo's with the long rear door, in a dark charcoal grey IIRC. Actually might be the same car as in your pic.

'Dallas' may have already been mentioned for Jock Ewing's Mark V. Either on 'Dallas' or 'Dynasty', one of the characters for a couple years had a Mark VI 4-door parked in the driveway during establishing shots, but when she drove it, it would be a regular Town Car.

Interesting how Animal House is set in 1962, yet there's the 64 in it.

better than being set in 1964 and having a 1962 LC in it!

I was just watching some tv and saw a preview for Disney's "Saving Mr. Banks" (starring Tom Hanks / comes out Dec 20 / PG13). It looks like the Disney story of bringing to life Mary Poppins. Anyway, here are a few screenshots of the Lincoln limo.

I might be wrong, but the first pic looks like a 1961 from the front, and the later pics look like a 1965 from the rear. I highly doubt they used 2 different Lincoln limos for the movie, but again, I could be wrong...

Watching the preview again in "full screen" (specifically the airport scene), I think I can make out the gas door on the driver's side (and along with the ribbed taillights and rear deck/end), it looks like the rear half is a 1965 with a front half from 1961. Since this is a stretched limo, I guess you could use two different years, but why?
