Post by dug »

It is with great sadness that one of our Charter and long time FMRCOA members Ed Meurer Jr. has passed. Ed was always a great contributor to our club for many years. Please keep the Meurer family in your thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.

Edmund J. Meurer, Jr.
Edmund J. Meurer Jr., born on July 27, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2024 in Ann Arbor, Michigan surrounded by his family. He was known for his passion of antique and classic cars, enjoyment of travel and Detroit sports.

With the success of his family’s publishing business, he created a diverse collection of automobiles dating from the 1920s to the 1980s. Ed was a generous individual who belonged to numerous car clubs around the country hosting car events at his garage and raising funds for his favorite non-profit organizations.

He is survived by his children: Edmund Meurer III, Kenneth Meurer, Kathy (Meurer) Maretti, grandchildren Ryan and Kristen Maretti, and great granddaughter Scout Maretti.

Public visitation will be held at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Monday January 15, 2024 from 2:00 -7:00 PM.
