Ok, I was mistaken. These are not the seats I'm buying from him. The seats I'm getting are all original. The seats above were some that were redone. More to come.

I've been enjoying the car and cruising around town. I stopped by to visit a friend, Blair Farmer, last weekend. I also stopped at Lincoln Land Inc for a quick photo op. Lots more planned on the car... just had to enjoy it a bit. I'm getting ready to put together a better rear bumper. Since the car didn't come w/ bumper ends I used parts I had at my house.. as I've mentioned in previous posts. I'll be putting together a much nicer one very soon!

Heading to Clearwater this past weekend. Stopped off for a pic and to check my hubcaps. You'll notice (if you look closely) the front passenger hubcap is missing. I lost it on the expressway and heard it immediately and pulled over to get it. These were sent to California to be high speed polished.

Yes, fuel gauge needs to be diagnosed. I think I know the issue and will diagnose this weekend. Low fuel indicator (red light) does work :)

Blair's Lair - my buddy Tony's 2 Lincolns sitting next to Smugger's Blues. His coupe he picked up last year and a recent addition a beautiful vert.

Notice the rear bumper. The ends I had were not very nice, the inserts that came with the car are roached, rear bumper was one I had that is dented, etc.

My buddy Jake aka Rendered by Thor is doing a job for me. He is truly a great artist. Previously mentioned my late Father (I miss him dearly) was nicknamed Papa Smurf. This one is for him!

Pic I previously didn't share. This is a vintage 85 pink Mongoose with vintage Skyway Mags I bought on eBay and bleached!

Last 2. My 64 next to Tony's cherry 65 sedan & vintage camper. Note his front plate came from Chris Dunn at Lincoln Land :)

I know the sound of losing a hub cap. Makes you work harder the next time fitting and securing them. The car is looking better all the time.

Thanks. So I'm still debating on pulling the motor and lining everything up to try and attack it over a week or 2 week max period. Friends tell me just fix the things I need to and enjoy it..... which I get... but I'm kind of OCD when it comes to stuff like this. Here is what I'd like to do:

-Pull motor
-Timing set (have parts already)
-High vol oil pump (need to order via eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lincoln-Ford-M ... SwknJX1-U5)
-Replace cracked head (my buddy Tony has one for me and noticed it is cracked at the ear near the manifold)
-Replace manifolds (leaning towards using the 2 of my 462 spare motor since they are interchangeable but I'll have them dropped off at the machine shop to make sure they are straight with a nice surface) - the manifold leak on the passenger side is driving me crazy!
-Replace both head gaskets
-Drop heads off at the machine shop for a head job
-Powdercoat: valve covers, valley pan, air cleaner & misc pieces
-Change whatever gaskets I can (already purchased overhaul kit)
-Rebuild steering pump
-Swap water pump with a rebuilt unit
-Change freeze plugs
-Paint block
-Motor mounts (need to buy the good ones)
-Clean & paint engine bay while engine removed

My friend that is into Mopars and builds his own engines is just like fix what needs to be fixed in the car and rock it. Of course, he is one of my best friends and knows when I start pulling stuff apart I go crazy and it takes me FOREVER to finish long-term projects. lol.

Additionally, I still need to do the following: fix a few issues with the top, new exhaust front to back, new shocks on front, new front upper control arm bushings, static drop the car, deck lid small repairs and respray, etc. I have no idea how long it is going to take me to do all this stuff. I really want to have it wrapped up by end of the year if I can. Just trying to balance everything and not get too crazy on the car lol. I appreciate the comments and much more to come!

So my next move ended up being to fix the flapper motor setup. I took it off to mail to John Cashman this week. The main piece that mounts thru the arm simply spins and the motor does not realize where it is in the sequence. Not sure the technical term for it...but regardless I know I wanted to have it addressed. It is one of the few things I have left to get the top functioning correctly.

Once I get this piece back and the top is fully working I'll keep on keeping on w/ the main list. One thing at a time on these cars right lol.

John Brewer or Cashman? I know JAB rebuilds that whole assembly. Which he did for my 65.

elcad70,

Great idea! Thanks for the suggestion!

Defrang,

Cashman. He had a post on Instagram that prompted me to call him. He is friends with my friends Blair and Theresa (they have known him a long time) so I wanted to touch base with him. He works closely with JAB from what I understand. He said he has been swamped since Jay Leno's Garage episode.

RD,

Click here and scroll down: http://www.tbirdranch.com/Linconconv.html which is $375

Here is the T-Bird version: http://www.tbirdranch.com which is $325

People seem to like these. I ended up getting mine rebuilt but I think it is a good idea if people want to simplify or don't have a good rebuildable one.
