Hi Dan, I know these guys very well and they are most enthusiastic about holding this event. Mr. Jake Dout is the regional director and his supporters are putting together right now the where, when and how much stuff right now. Count me in once they make their decision. They are growing the Rocky Mountain Region and doing a fine job.

I'm hoping it is near Denver or Colorado Springs. Date is irrelevant.

Depending on when, might be able to go. Wifey retires end of the school year, so depending on how things go, a trip might be possible one way or another.

It will be in Denver we are looking at a last 2 weeks of September or the first 2 weeks of oct 2016. But may have to postpone to 2018 cause of the national wanting a single meet in 2017 !

As long as it's not during the Jewish Holidays, I'll meet up with the MIchigan guys and caravan out with them.

So basically, nothing is determined at this time.

Please let us know when it is official.

What's this "single meet" thing?

Because of the difficulty of the LCOC getting three regions to host three meets in a year, there is talk about national having a single meet in one year.

I think that I would drive down to Denver for a meet. 925 miles for me from Saskatchewan. Nice easy 2 day drive for sure.

I for one, hope they do a Denver meet. If LCOC does a single event for the year they'll eliminate a lot of the potential attendees wherever they hold it. Let's not prejudge. Wait and see.

Not that I care anymore, but if there is only 1 meet, what happens to the person who needs to get their 5th emeritus award in 5 years?
