Re: Rockford Meet, 17-21 Sep 2014
Just got home from the meet and I definitely concur with others on the Forum that the LCOC meet, arranged by the Lake Shore region, was spectacular. 1st meet for me, but, certainly not the last. Beautiful weather, only a 30 minute shower, temps in the low 70's, a great time meeting Forum members in person. Don't dare miss next years!!!

Re: Rockford Meet, 17-21 Sep 2014
We are at the hotel in Port Huron for the night (while the back-up on the bridge to Canada looks like about an hours wait).
Outstanding show and hotel. Great time and good chatting with folks I haven't seen in years. :smt003
Dan: hope the rain wasn't too hard while your top was still down (?) for the drive home......and I got a year supply of those 20 gm protein bars for $US 0.73 each at Meijer (they are $CDN $1.99 each at home).
Already getting primed for next year!
Cheers
Mike

This was my first LCOC meet and I thought it was great. I met new friends and saw some wonderful cars.

Got home Monday around noon. Great people and cars, 1892 round trip miles, 143.8 gals of gas and averaged 13.2 mpg. Doesn't get any better than that.
Thanks to the region for a job well done!

Re: Rockford Meet, 17-21 Sep 2014
Hi everyone,
I just pulled into the driveway, 4409 km (2740 miles) round trip. I took my time coming home. Did the John Deere homestead and Ronald Reagan boyhood home tours on Sunday, then headed for Davenport, IA. Monday stopped in to see the American Pickers shop in LeClaire, Iowa, then headed up west and north. Stayed in Mankato, MN, then Grand Forks, MN, spent a day in Winnipeg, and now home. I stopped at antique shops along the way, and did some shopping too. The trip was half the fun. The best part was the meet in Rockford of course! Great cars, and super people! Made some new friends, and caught up with old ones. I hope to attend another meet in the future.
Hey Stu, had a great time riding in your Continental! First time ever in a slabside!
Best regards from north of the border,
Chris
