Looking for a good used speedometer gear (inside transmission) for a 65 continental? Does anyone have one for sale? Thanks.

You should still be able to buy them new. I've gotten new ones that work in my 57 from my local Ford dealership. You should also be able to get them from Macs, Dennis Carpenter, Mustangs Unlimited. All you need to know is the number of teeth and the angle. For Dennis Carpenter the web site is

http://www.dennis-carpenter.com

Select the 60-79 Fairlane/Falcon catalog and search for Speedometer Driven Gear they'll pop up. Or try page 77 of the onlne catalog.

I tried to provide the direct link but it wouldn't work.

Use it to determine the direction and number of splines.

Call Baker's, you may have to buy two or three to get the right ratio. 1 cog = 4 MPH

I might have one but I need the number of teeth, a picture, and the number stamped on the end.
