Air suspension problems

Post by Formula1974 »

Hello all, This is the first time Im posting here but Ive been reading for a while. I have got a 1990 Lincoln Town Car and the air suspension is giving me problems. It will blow the fuse all of a sudden. Some times it happens right after I turn it on sometimes it will blow 30 miles down the road. I have checked everything I can think of which isnt much since I dont know the first thing about air bag suspension. Any clues where to start trouble shooting? When it is working it brings up both sides evenly and the bags dont seem to be leaking or anything. Thanks in advance for any and all advice you could give. Have a good one. Air suspension problems

If you don't have a shop manual for diagnostic sequence, go -HERE- for a message board just on air suspension.

It sounds like the compressor may be going bad drawing too much amperage or there is a short in the circuit.
