TheLincolnForum.net Logo
Hey does anyone here have good photoshop skills? I think this forum definately needs a new header graphic to replace the "phpBB" header in the forum. So come on, if you have decent design skills, why not post your best shot at a new header in this thread, maybe the forum admin might use it!

Re: TheLincolnForum.net Logo
It sure does need a new logo.
I tried to get volunteers years ago, but there aren't as many photoshop experts who are also car nuts.
This is the old thread.
Here was the best entry.

Why not use it?
I went to look at that old thread but it says I'm not authorized.

Re: TheLincolnForum.net Logo
I forgot I moved the post to a hidden area. You should be able to see it now.
It looks too much like a BMW logo for me.
Maybe I should allow using the Lincoln star?

Hmmmm..Well you guys are in luck. I use Photoshop almost everyday, and I use it to design logos and art for family and friends. I would LOVE to take a whack at it. Anything specific your looking for Dan?...

Re: TheLincolnForum.net Logo
Since I cant myself create on cause my photoshop skills are amature at best, I have a recommendation for whoever would like to try mocking it up... ok, heres what Im thinking: Since the header can span nearly the entire length of the dark blue header we have up now, up to the search fearture. How about someone get images of the front end of several Lincolns, starting from oldest to newest (I understand not all models will fit but choose the most noteable models) Photoshop them inline and (1 of 2 suggestions for logo placement) in the top left corner add in the Lincoln Forum.net image that Dan has posted in a downsized scale to fit above the lined up Lincolns I mentioned earler or (2 of 2 suggestions for logo placement) above and centered above the line up of Lincolns could be a Continental star similar to the 62 rear tail panel star and directly on top of that could be the "The Lincoln Forum.net" text.

Dan- Please post the specs for the site header (preferably in pixels) and I'll give it a shot. Graphic design keeps a roof over my head and allows for a steady supply of parts for my 62.

139x52, but you can make it 200x52, etc.
