This TS Switch is not for fixed columns, but only for the tilt column. For some reason, Ford used a GM column on 1966 Lincolns with tilt. I guess their own tilt column wasn't ready in time. Based on the Ford PN, it was also used on some Mercury columns starting in 1965.
For more information, please check out this thread. When buying strictly by part number, be sure to get the C5MY-13341-B number because there is another number, C5MY-13341-A that is listed as the tilt-wheel turn-signal control actuator (casting) in the MPC. This is NOT the TS switch.

As an owner of a '66 Continental AND a 1966 Mercury Park Lane both with tilt wheel I was curious.
I have not experienced any problems with the turn signal switch on either vehicle.
So I looked at the MPC both Text and Illustration
What I discovered -
1965 Continental did not have a tilt wheel at all. It had an optional moveable column. (Swing away or a version of that) The switch is much different than 1966 model.
The 1965 & 1966 Mercury along with the 1966 Continental all had an optional tilt wheel. Same part numbers and same for all models - TS switch (C5MY-13341-B) and TS actuator (C5MY-13341-A)
For model year 1967 was again all different from the previous model year.
From a design aspect, a tilt wheel involves less of the instrument panel changes than does a moveable column. Not having either would be a marketing sin. Your competition has an option you don't!
So making a change in the instrument panel either has to include a moveable column. OR just buy the option from the competition and install until your designers can make your own tilt wheel system. And one that is less complex than a swing away column.
