Wood looks great! Is it lighter than the original? I like it.

You did a great job on the wood trim! Keep up the good work. I once had 1965 sedan with the same color: Huron Blue.

Great car. That color is Silver Mink Metallic isn't it? Do get a set of original 14" wheels and bias ply tires for it. The car would look so much better and you can always switch over to these if ever you're in the mood for a non-stock look.

I'm Livin Lo
Well I just picked my car up from getting bagged the other day and wanted to share some pics. I went with the complete system from Mobsteel. I have to say it’s a bit pricey but Adam and Pam are great to work with, and was always availably for any questions that I had. I also was able to stop at the shop on a trip in July and they gave me the grand tour.
Well here are some pics and I'll post more when I take it out to play with. As of right now the front is all the way down but the rear has more to go but due to the wrong rim offset and wide tires they hit the upper portion of the fender before it lays all the way down. Now I guess its time for new rims and tire’s. I should probably get another inch from the front and the rear to match. Since I’ve picked it up all I could do is drive it home and park it so far. Damn I hate being so busy.
Thanks for checkin out my ride

I think it has a nice stance already. The air management is clean indeed. From the same photo I gather your trunk lid is rather crispy?
Does mobsteel have disc brake conversion kits to accompany the big rims that are used on these cars? I assume this is much easier to do than when people use the original '64-'65 15" rims on the '61-'65 cars.

You maybe right about how it sits now but I'll have to check it when the car is out in the open. But like I said in my post the rears not bottomed out yet.ReijerLincoln wrote:I think it has a nice stance already. The air management is clean indeed. About my trunk edge, what looks like rot is my trunk seal that's all jacked up.
Adam at Mobsteel just finished his brake kits a couple of months ago and they are real nice looking. The front use a drilled and slotted 13" rotor and the rear a 12" and its all bolt on replacement.

Looks nice low like that.. How is your side to side play in the rear with that kit?

Re: I'm Livin Lo
I got a chance to take the car out this weekend and play and drive it around a little. Also took some time to program the system.
I just pulled into a parking lot and snapped some shots so there not real good.
Black63 not sure what you mean about the side to side play. If your talking about the rear axle I would think it should be pretty solid due to the 4-link but I have no idea.

Re: My 62 Conti
Well I've been posting my updates in other areas but thought I'd update my own.
In the last 8 months I've been busy doing lots of stuff to my car. Back in August I received my complete air ride kit from Mobsteel.
Then in December I took one of my door panels to the main paint distributor here and had them color match it with a spray dye and re-sprayed all of my panels. Also while they were off I rustproofed the inside of all the doors and inside the rear quarters/trunk.
I was wanting to save money to get body work and paint done eventually but in September had my son. So due to the quotes of 8 to 10 thousand that is not an option for a very long time. I still wanted to take care of the body work so I went with a much cheaper option on paint but still taking care of any rust issues. By the way those quotes were for taking the whole car apart.
I also ordered myself some new billet wheels from Raceline Wheels. I went with 22" wheels like I had the before but with 8 1/2 in the front and 10's in the back.
I also just installed a Pertronix 2 ignition over the weekend and now all I'm waiting for are my Moon Eyes valve covers and I'll be done for a bit.
No one ever said this was going to be a cheap car to own but it sure is great. Thanks to everyone for all their knowledge.

Re: My 62 Conti
Congrats on the newborn & the '62. It looks great. What colour is that? Nice stance. Wheels look good too (and I'm not a fan at all of big chrome wheels). How about showing us a few photos of the interior?
cheers,
Reijer
