New Owner:1970 Mark III windows slow
I just picked up a 1970 Mark 3 yesterday, and the windows are very slow. When you directly attach power to windows, the motors work great. Could this be a voltage regulator problem? Gas gauge, interior lights, heater also not working. I will search forum, but I also need my 3 meaningful messages! I'm at the point of looking into the "rabbit hole", not sure if I want to go in.

Try cleaning the switch contacts. Start with the drivers first.

I’ll second that motion. If that does not improve things, I’d next look at the frame to engine grounding strap for high resistance (which must be done while a high electrical load is in operation).

Switches are likely funked up. Also, the grease for the tracks
Has inevitably become sticky and/or hard over time.
