trim piece

Post by Buckeye Steve »

I found a black plastic bumper trim piece in the original box, I believe for a 1970s Mark IV. The part number on the box is pretty mangled but the last part is...830-A. I know the part number on the part are different that the part number you order by. But the full part number on the inside of the piece is D5VB-17C997-AA. Can someone look this up and tell me what its for. Its brand new.
Thanks

My MPC goes to XXXX-17997-X with no entries for 17C997, The next page is 18000.

There is no 17x830 or 18x830.

It's something related to Bumper Guards and it's for the LH side.

Post a pic and let a Mark IV owner identify it.

It's a bumper pad, all right. No idea why it's not in the MPC. There's many a number I've found missing from the MPCs.

Size doesn't seem right, but it could be something-17C830-A which is a center rear bumper pad.

It looks like its for a vertical bumperette protector, but which model, I cannot locate.

How about a 1975-1979 Lincoln Continental Rear Bumper Right Center Rub strip??? I found a Lincoln parts company that had one for sale for $115. Seems pricy for a small piece of black plastic. They have part no. D5VY-17C803-A. The end tab on the box is torn but there is a no. 803-A on it
