1963 intermittent top

I have a 1963 Continental convertible. The top works when it wants to it usually works but there are times when I pull the top switch and it does nothing and then 45 minutes later it will work like there was nothing wrong. Can someone assist please?

Split off.

My guess, you have an intermittent top switch. Cycle it more or try rebuilding it.
