59 lincoln con. convertible, how do you remove the ft and rearconv. top mldgs, I took out the phillips screws, still tight, I am changing the top to new

I think there is black rubbery sealant sandwiches between layers to keep put water in addition to the screws holding the metal trim.

Try carefully peeling back small areas or use a hair dryer as heat to soften up any sealants.

I’m not very familiar with 1959. Do the shop manual have any tips?
