1961 Sedan Trunk Light Tag

Details such as correct colors, plating material, inspection marks, orientation, and even the number of wipes that should occur for a vacuum-powered windshield wiper system after pushing the "wash" button.

1961 Sedan Trunk Light Tag

Post by Bill Prince »

There is an original Tag attached to the trunk light in my all original 37K mile 1961 Sedan.
My question is, what is it for?

I suspect maybe a body paint color sample?

There is one on my ‘62 as well. I’ve never known either.

It's a code tag of some sort. Other manufacturers used similar ones. The location of the punchings meant something.
