1965 Lincoln Continental AM/FM Radio (Optional)

Post by bd94s10 »

Hello,

Please take a minute to checkout my latest video of my '65 Lincoln Continental AM/FM radio. Let me know if I missed anything or got anything incorrect. Anyone know how to set the presets? I never figured that out. lol.

If the radio is the same as my 63, you pull the pre set knob out all the way and push it in all the way and it sets the station. I don't know how it knows the difference between AM stations and FM stations (the 63 knobs are labeled).

When you pull out the button to set a preset, you rotate it to select either the am or the fm band desired for that button.

Just as an FYI, I believe this was a feature that was unique to the 1965 am/fm radio that differentiates it from the otherwise similar appearing 1964 radio, Each 1965 button was labeled AM on one side and FM on the other side. To change the band choice, you simply pull the button out past the detent and turn it to the band you wish to preset. Keep in mind though that there are only 5 preset positions in total, but you can position them as you please.
