A few more pictures, wrapping up the engine bay, then ready for the show!

I have an appointment for Monday to get the R-12 back into the A/C system, I'll get the cruise control working (new issue), and that's where I'll call her done (nothing left!).

For sale at $15,500. I'll put more of an advertising-type post in the For Sale forum.

HA! Yeah - that's a result of how I need to load the cars, toward the rear. Plenty of room up front but then too much tongue weight for my tow vehicle. I've experimented a lot and this is the sweet spot... Also makes it really easy to get underneath the rear end for any work or clean-up.

Thanks for the chuckle..

Perry, you are just an all around amazing guy! Thanks for sharing all of this. Vanessa is gorgeous. I gotta join those in favor of a stripe though :D I never thought she would look good without the vinyl top, but now I think they all would look better without.

I usually don't care for Forged wheels on a Mark V, but they look great on your car. That's a beauty. Hope Vanessa goes to a good home. Good luck, Perry.

I saw the Mark V on Ebay, and Most Importantly I Read your Story, However, you didn't really Finish it, so a few Questions Before I Bid:

1. How is the Driveability?
2. Did you Fix the Cruise..Important...?
3. Does the Air Blow 100% Cold?
3. This IS a 460 I Assume? How is the Power now with the Duals?

Thanks!! And REALLY Nice Mark!!!!

Hello - thanks for interest.

There are zero driveability concerns. Feels like new.

Yes, cruise is fixed, works 100%

A/C is uncomfortably cold, on the original R-12 system, no issues.

Yes, 460 runs terrific, and now sounds nice too.

Many more pictures and details are available by contacting me directly at 920-205-1295 or pab1063@new.rr.com

She's back! I stayed in touch loosely with the couple that purchased Vanessa five years ago, and was contacted a couple months ago to let me know that life had changed and their Lincolns were for sale. I didn't have the cash to make a decent offer and it was decided that Vanessa and the 1940 Cabriolet would go to auction. Over the past couple months I've sold off a good chunk of the 20+ year collection of parts including a couple real gems I thought I'd never let go. But life does indeed change.
The auction was Saturday, June 20, and I was the winner. That's exactly how it feels :) I'm thrilled to have her back. It's exactly the same car I let go in 2015 having covered less than 100 miles since. Welcome home Vanessa!!

Got other things that need doing, and all I've done with this car is drive from storage to storage (heated for winter). It's exactly the same car featured here. The radio is flaking out, I'm including an NOS Quadrasonic AM/FM with 8 track, a proper factory upgrade for 77. Some flaws in the leather I'm considering going after, cheaper if I don't. Pab1063@new.rr.com or 920-205-1295 for more. Asking $23,000.
