Re: New Braking Specialty places
Hi Dan
Thanks for posting the list of brake specialty places, I've only used one of them http://www.whitepost.com/ but they are really good. I've used White post to sleeve the wheel and master cylinders on three of my big 1940,s antique military trucks. Sleeving the cylinders is a permanent fix for the problem of pitted or rusted bores.
Happen to be doing a brake job on one of the trucks now, minor master cylinder leak, the cylinders were sleeved in 1990. I'll post a picture of what bores look like now, no visible or measurable wear. So the brake job is clean the lines and replace the rubber parts. Only problem with having a permanent fix for the cylinders is that you have to replace the rubber parts by the calender.
Cheers Phil

Re: Alternate Braking Specialty places
This is why periodic replacement of brake fluid is necessary, although any moving part cannot last forever.
Thanks for the input, Phil. I may add them to the list of Usual Suspect vendors.
