May I ask WHY are the emergency brake pedal pads on UPSIDE DOWN on so many cars? Please tell me. That is NOT how they are supposed to be. They are narrow at the bottom and thick at the top. Why cant people see that????

I think they're right. Yours must be backwards. Pull it off and inspect the mounting plate. Is it tapered?

Please refer to you picture brochures. They are incorrect on some peoples cars. Either the idiots who built them are crazy and put them on wrong after a long weekend of drinking or the owners have kicked them off and put them on incorrectly. Even the master parts catalogue shows them as I said. Pull them off and look at how the metal is formed. They are on UPSIDE DOWN.

According to you, every parking brake pedal pad is upside down in the pics above.

I find it highly unlikely that all of those people removed and reinstalled them upside down.

Please post brochure pic.

I'll have to check my 66 and 77 pics.

Yours is a Mark. Different.

66-67. Different design.

The 77 is interesting. I'll have to check mine.

The others are early 70s. Different, not upside-down.
