Well, it's been a while since anything has been posted here so I thought I'd ask about your definitions of "solid".

Solid Not! When I can use my fingers to successfully pullout bent metal "solid" as applied to a car is laughable. Reliable? Maybe, if well maintained.

Solid to me means granite! Or maybe titanium? In a car, I'd look for ZERO rust or weak spots. I think most EBay descriptions use solid as meaning it weighs in at over 2,500 lbs.

You can also define something by the thing(s) it is not.

I always wanted a Gaz Chaika growing up, I thought it looked very "Dick Tracy"!! I had a friend that grew up in communist Russia and he said the Chaika was a terrifying car to see coming down the road!

Solid: structurally sound, may have surface rust or need paint, but overall condition is that most original metal still remains. "This car has a solid body, but might need paint."
