The Usual Suspects, a term commonly used on this forum, is used to describe any of the commonly found Lincoln parts and service sellers. They are:

From their web site:
Our Mission: To assist you in finding the necessary parts to restore the Lincoln of your dreams. If you don't already own a Lincoln, we will be glad to help you find the Lincoln you've always wanted! For those who appreciate the Lincoln Continental, it is always a great benefit to find the best sources for parts and restoration services. We have an amazing collection of show condition, original California parts that have been acquired in more than 40 years of collecting. We have also purchased dealer parts inventory that has been declared "Out of Date" and is still in the original factory packaging.

There are other shops, but those above are the most well known. They have most of the basic parts from brake pads, shoes, gaskets, filters, etc. Some body parts and interior parts are available. Check out their web sites or call them.

Other shops and services are:

This forum does not receive a kickback of any kind from any of these places (we wish). We refer them because they consistently have the parts that we need. You may find people badmouthing one or another from time to time, but that can occur with any vendor. If anyone has any other reputable vendors to add to this list, please post in this thread. I will update as possible.

I have to add Rock Auto to this list. An invaluable resource for brake parts, pads, cylinders - master and slave, stoplamp switch, as well as most filters my 430 has needed. Everything I've ordered has been delivered almost instantly.

They send out discount codes as well (5%).

I was contacted by Rock Auto just yesterday and they are interested in giving the forum users a discount code to use all the time.

I have not heard back, but I am hoping to open a dialogue with them so that forum users get the best service possible.

Tim Nill

Post by Jed69conti »

I just wanted to mention a new supplier of old Lincoln parts that I have had some really great experiences with, Tim Nill. He bought John Cashman's parts business and brought a large amount of his own parts from California. He has a great deal of nice, used Lincoln parts, the like of which have been sold off by the "usual suspects" many years ago. I purchased some beautiful original Teal interior parts for my 69 sedan, as well as a few other items, such as uncracked plastic centers for the non-Mark III 68-69 turbine wheel covers. These kind of pieces are nearly impossible to find anywhere and the prices were very reasonable. They were much nicer than he described, the packaging was excellent and Tim is very customer-service oriented, not to mention an encyclopedia of Lincoln information who is more than happy to share his knowledge with a novice, such as myself. His contact information is on the convertiblelincolns.com website.
