If it is Lincoln-related and doesn't seem to fall in the other categories or you just can't figure out where to put it, put it here!

Well, we decided to roll the dice and take the Lincoln out this weekend. It's just way too much fun to drive around in. Being the driver and passenger, the two of us don't ever really get to use the best part of the car, the suicide doors. Well, our best friends just happen to live in Edmond Oklahoma, so we went out Saturday night, on a double date. The girls got to ride in the back and get the first class treatment. We went to the movies, to dinner, and just cruised around OKC. It was a great night! Today, Sunday, the weather was beautiful, and so we took the slab out again, and just drove out to a few different towns. Mileage now sets at 107400. We added 317 miles between Saturday night and Sunday. Hope you all had a great weekend!
Starting mileage: 106755
Current mileage: 107400
2021 miles thus far: 645

Never heard of totem pole park or the walk under route 66. We'll have to check those out.

Well, after taking the car to a recommended mechanic, and leaving it over night, he called the next morning and said the car was more than he was interested in taking on. So I picked it up and drove to a different, recommended mechanic, and set up an appointment for the 10th. Between driving to both of those shops (we live out in the country), and then today, going to Tulsa cars and Coffee, as well as Daryl Starbirds rod and custom show, the odometer now sets at 107723. Only been here 2 months and already wracked up just shy of 1000 miles! Gonna suck to put it away for a bit while it gets some mechanical work done.

Finished last season on November 30/21 with a mileage figure of 37,759.6 (see last season's Mileage Challenge) and after a drive earlier today I snapped a photo of where I stand at this point for 2021. If you enlarge the photo you will see I'm at 38,032.9 which amounts to a fairly weak report of 273.3 miles.......... but they've been happy miles

Cheers

So Sunday we took the car down to the shore for lunch. Nice drive down, good meal and nice drive back home. Put about 70 more miles on the car. Will see how much I do between now and Kalamazoo.

Looks like Stu now has the lead so far this year. C'mon, people, step up to the plate, I'm out of the running right now! Sure, I got the block back from the machinist and I have my new bearings now, and I should have my new rings later this week; but I'm still waiting on pistons, and now I need an expansion plug to go behind my camshaft (the one in the set RockAuto pushes is 1/16" too small :smt011). Then I have to figure out how all these pieces go together.

I know that nobody else has that excuse.

Well, maybe one. Right, Ammiller83...?

Waiting for a steering issue to be repaired. Got two mechanics on the string, both making wild promises, neither following through. Wayne
