Club Windshield decal

Postby 95TwnCar » Tue Feb 23, 2021 6:43 pm

Can we please get club logo inside windshield decals for our Lincolns.
This should be given out free with the $50 Annual Membership fee just like the MCA, Mustang Club of America does for their members.
It's a Great way of promoting the Club and looks Great on the car at car shows. I have MCA decals on my Towncar because this club doesn't offer a decal. We really should start making these decals again....being a newbie I don't have an opportunity to get an old one since they're probably all gone. Don't understand the rationale of not having these available for members to proudly display on their Lincolns.
I know I'm NOT the only one wanting one.....I would even pay for one.
Can we see about getting this done.

Good idea and ...

This forum website is independent of any club.

Depending on which (I assume Lincoln) club, that may be a local thing or a national thing

Sorry, I thought this forum was strictly for LCOC Members....I know many of us feel the way I do....inside windshield decal should be available to Members to proudly market the Club. Looks Great at car shows representing the National Lincoln club.

My car's original owner added this badge to the trunk lid

Ouch
Screwed into the deck lid.

I like the club. Just not enough to drill holes into my classic.

Yeah Action, I'm with you...Not sure why it was put there. Which begs a question....Is there a preferred way to display these badges?

I do not have the answer. I am sure some one who has been a member for a long time might have that answer. I have only been a member since 2005.
However the issue with some of the older members, they don't go on line much. There are members in my local club that don't have an email account.

And here is something

That looks like a grille badge that just like the name implies is usually stuck on the grille.
If you want the screwed in look I've seen before where someone cut the screws short and glued them in the holes and then 2 way taped it to the car.

Back in the day, dealerships would drill holes to place their badge on the trunk lid. Some people keep that in place after a repaint, I wouldn't. It may be that the P.O. placed that grille badge in those holes, rather than have a dealer's badge. Thankfully, that practice was replaced with stickers by the late ' 70s.
On my '62, they drilled the badge into the stainless " rear grille".

According to the people who knew him (he passed away in ‘97) he was very proud of his car. He was big on the decals, year of manufacture plates and other badges from meets. He loved the car and took care of it and went to LCOC meets around Texas.
