Just wanted to say thanks to the forum contributors.
I'm a FNG to Lincolns and to the forum, and I sure wish I would have known about this place *before* I bought my '69 Continental last week! Just wanted to tip my hat to all the people who have taken the time to answer, post, and document what they know about these cars. And especially the site owners and admins and mods who make this site a real treasure of searchable content to this day. Thank you all.
I haven't even asked a question yet, because the search is so good. But I will. Oh, I will.

Acton & MFE, your exchange reminds me of when I bought my '66. First thing I did was join LCOC, get the directory, and look to see if there was anyone near me with a slabside 'vert. Lo and behold: across the street, 3 doors down!

That would be my suggestion once we get connected.CaptainDave wrote:Acton & MFE, your exchange reminds me of when I bought my '66. First thing I did was join LCOC, get the directory, and look to see if there was anyone near me with a slabside 'vert. Lo and behold: across the street, 3 doors down!
Not exactly the most active at this point because of COVID.
But for those that are not necessarily at risk, the club is a great resource

Online since 2001, nearly 20 years of posts, knowledge, questions asked, answered, projects, tips, and tricks. No forum is older (maybe).MFE wrote:I haven't even asked a question yet, because the search is so good. But I will. Oh, I will.
I should write a book.

Re: Just wanted to say thanks to the forum contributors.
Actually, you should. I have a loose-leaf binder full of printouts from this forum, arranged by subject/part/procedure. A book by Dan, or Dan & friends that boiled down some of the longer post threads, discarded outdated or incorrect information, and organized it intelligently would be fabulous. Plus, then you could go on a "book tour" and autograph copies at car shows and bookstores!
