A bit clicheish, but neat

If it is Lincoln-related and doesn't seem to fall in the other categories or you just can't figure out where to put it, put it here!

A bit clicheish, but neat

Post by Stuart M. Cohen »

Since I'm working from home, I've been spending my free time watching old TV shows. Earlier this month, I started TIVOing the original Twilight Zone. This morning I'm watching season 3, episode 18 called "Dead Man's Shoes". Right in the beginning, a 61 sedan pulls up and they toss a dead body out of the car. Can't tell if the body is in the trunk or back seat, but none the less, it does add validity to all the mobster comments we hear. The same thing happens at the end of the show. Can't give more details without a spoiler alert.

You would not be much of a mobster in a '61 Comet.

That's for sure! Besides, Lincoln changed the image of cars in that year; it became the model for the entire industry to follow. Even the big, befinned Caddies or Imperials of that year just didn't carry the same ominous mobster feel, IMO.
