For 1983 Mercury LN7, not a Lincoln, but at least its a Ford

If it is Lincoln-related and doesn't seem to fall in the other categories or you just can't figure out where to put it, put it here!

For 1983 Mercury LN7, not a Lincoln, but at least its a Ford

Post by audioresearch »

I'm trying to find the Ford parts number for the wide-open-throttle switch that mounts to the carburetor which turns off the ac system when the throttle is wide open. I've got the Ford Master Parts Catalog that covers that year and I just can't find it anywhere and I've looked under ac sections, electrical sections, and carburetor sections. This is for the 1983 Mercury LN7 which is a very similar car to the more well known Ford EXP.

Thanks for any help.

It isn't a Lincoln and there really isn't a good Mercury Forum.
I always wished I had one of those.

Do you have the MPC illustration? Should be in carb (9000) section.
Then you can get a base part number.
Or the base part number may be in the shop manual as well.
