1955 Continental 2 door auction

If it is Lincoln-related and doesn't seem to fall in the other categories or you just can't figure out where to put it, put it here!

And Ford made Porsche stop using the name, so the 1955 Continental is one year only.

Edit: That is how people explain it but I'm not sure I've seen good sourcing that Ford demanded it so much as Porsche agreed to stop. Maybe one of the 356 histories has actual sources for the story.

I think Barry Wolk has touched on this in his research and work with Mark II history.

Bentley was using the "Continental" name back in the 1950s too, and they still use it today.

Actually, it became a Division when the Mark II project was announced in November of 1953 at the first LCOC meeting.
