Lincoln New Years Resolution (2022)

Postby bd94s10 » Mon Dec 27, 2021 4:55 pm

So if you had to come up with something... what would be your Lincoln New Years Resolution for 2022?

Mine is to upgrade/repair the A/C & swap the timing setup on my '65 Lincoln Continental convertible build thread: https://www.thelincolnforum.net/phpbb3/ ... 42&t=53513

I'm sure I will come up with more but just focusing on these 2 things will help me ensure I accomplish the tasks at hand in 2022.

I would love to see/hear what everyone else has in store!

Mine's very similar: Finish collecting all the parts I need to put the engine-bay components of the A/C together. What I need are reproduction lines, both high- and low-pressure, and that will complete the parts collection. I'm kinda-sorta hoping to get that done when I finally make a road trip down to Florida to visit my mother; I'm hoping that Cold Hose in Ocala will be open for business when I get down there, as I do intend to carry the old hoses with me so they know what to do.

Awesome. I hope you get to make it down here. Blair and Theresa get hoses made all the time in Clearwater. You might be able to see if they can get them made for you. He is going to get mine made. I have the tool to make them but I'm not interested in doing them this go round.

Heres to 2022!

My New Year's resolution is to motivate the seller of my Mark III to hurry his ass up with putting the carb back on so that I can work to get it home and under my care. Has been a slow process.

After a year of sitting in my garage, I intend to DRIVE! (Yes, I'm sorry, I'm shouting). Oops I meant the car sat in the garage. So far, my wife still tolerates me. Wayne

My New Years resolution for 2022 is to get off my cheap ass and pay my lawyer to sue Hot Bodz and Custom Rodz in Lewiston Idaho for having my 64 LC for over 4 years now and it still not being done.

Wayne, that is quite a change from your advice not to drive them as it will cost you money.

My New Years resolutions for my Lincoln are to fix the power steering pump leak and take it to a transmission shop to fix the shifting problems.

Tom, I have many pleasures in this life that I don't really appreciate as I should. Driving the old girl is one of them that I truly enjoy. I missed having not being able to drive her during that year she sat in the garage awaiting a mechanic. Wayne

Wayne, enjoy driving while you can. I see many of my friends having to give up driving as they reach their middle and late 80's and all of them miss it a lot. I am in very good condition for being 88, but the time when I am going to have to sell one of my cars is approaching faster that I would like, but I find it harder every year to work on them and hate to take them to a shop, because they always have come back in worse condition than when I dropped them off.
