What is the cost to rebuild the Fuel pump? I'm very much intrested..
whatever it costs now (Mine was done a couple years ago) it is TOTALLY worth it. Your car will run like new.

Mike will take care of you. Mail in your Pump to the address on their website with a note saying you want the free return shipping and your phone number. Mike can call you before he starts the work with a quote, etc.

Starting today, if you do the following, we will offer FREE SHIPPING of your rebuilt fuel pump via UPS ground, back to you.

**** Please, this is important ****

1. Send me an email letting me know your pump is coming.

2. Write "ATTN. MIKE" on the outside of the package.

3. Inside the package, make sure to include the fact that you are a member of this forum, and let me know who you are in here.

Couple of changes to the request above.

1. Your pump will most likely be shipped back using USPS rather than UPS.
2. Please send me a PM or email to let me know you are shipping your pump in. our32@aol.com goes directly to me.

Well, here we are 12 years later and we have had to raise the price of our rebuilding service, and our rebuilding kits.

Effective immediately, there is a 10% increase on the fuel pump service, and fuel pump rebuilding kits.

For the single action rebuild, the increase is 9.50
For the dual action rebuild, the increase is 13.50
The kits vary in prices, so a quote would have to be done.

Fear not! The free shipping deal is still good.

Thanks, Mike. My pump has been good since the last rebuild in 2008. No leaks.

Still a great deal, in my opinion. Mine have all worked flawlessly.

I had two Carter fuel pumps rebuilt by Then and Now. They did an amazing job.

My newly acquired 65 sedan has a replacement 2 port style pump with a tee in the line for the return. I'd like to replace this pump with a proper one. I see that some of the usual suspects sell a rebuilt proper pump for $ 365. Is this the best route to go as I assume the existing pump on the car is of no value other than a spare ?
My car just jumped timing this weekend. I put it in the garage and it was fine though I know the timing chain & gear should be replaced from all the advice I've been given here on the Forum. I've only had the car a week ( it has 25K miles on it ) and I've already started working on getting it road worthy. I went to start it this past Sunday it turned over normally for a second or so then hicupped, starting cranking oddly and spit back through the carb. New chain kit is on order and I might as well change out the fuel pump for the proper one as well. I'd be happy to buy one from Then & Now assuming he has pumps for sale without having to provide an exchange.

Hi George,
I do not have any of the three port Carter pumps available for sale. There are a few members here that I'm sure will have what you need.

BTW... In case anyone was unsure, due to the misery just about everyone is experiencing, we have closed our doors till further notice. If you sent in your pump after March 16th for rebuilding, it is probably still sitting in the shop. Unfortunately it will be sitting there till I return to work. Sorry.
