Please make sure to pack the pump tightly before shipping. I just got one in that got some rough handling, and the result was a bent by-pass fitting. I was able to straighten it out a little. Please be careful.

My suggestion to anyone sending in a pump, pack it with bubble-wrap stuff, then shake the box, if you can feel the pump moving inside, put in more filling.

Thank you

I've had Mike do 2 pumps for my '66's and they came back in great shape. Cars perform well, too.

hmmm.. Is this why it takes many many cranks to get my 64 started if it sits for more than 1 day?

What is the cost to rebuild the Fuel pump? I'm very much intrested..

How many seconds? If it is less than 3, then you are being a little fussy. If it takes longer, perhaps a pump rebuild will help.

A 60s Lincoln pump rebuild is about $75-85. <--- Not anymore. Price has gone up since 2009.

I wanted to add that the $95.00 is for rebuilding a single action fuel pump.

oh no.. if the car sits for a week or two were talking 4 seconds of cranking at 3 to 4 times while pumping the pedal.
If the car sits for 2 days it's 4 seconds of cranking 2 times. (letting the starter rest between the 4 second intervals of course).

I'm probably going to get flamed here so forgive my ignorance but, when I do a search for mechanical fuel pumps at local autoparts stores, I found three different brands available from $75-95 brand new. What is the benefit of getting one rebuilt for the same price? again.. not trying to stir anything up, I just think I may be missing something.

Please pay attention to discussion regarding 2-port and 3-port fuel pumps.

Almost all the aftermarket pumps are 2-port pumps that are garbage.

Besides, a rebuild pump is BETTER than a so-called new pump because it is ORIGINAL.

Found ourselves with a leaking fuel pump. Sent it off to Mike where he also discovered the pin was about ready to shear --- what (good) luck! Mike did the rebuild in a one-day turnaround - and it looks like it just came out the factory box! Excellent Service!! :smt023
