Did 66s come with this tire pattern?

Details such as correct colors, plating material, inspection marks, orientation, and even the number of wipes that should occur for a vacuum-powered windshield wiper system after pushing the "wash" button.

No Lincoln came with this whitewall/sidewall style as factory equipment. This whitewall style is often referred to as the "Cadillac stripe" and was factory equipment on 1971-1972 Cadillacs, and on 1973 and 1974 Cadillacs which were ordered without the optional radial tires. They were rather popular in the aftermarket, and retrofitted to earlier Cadillacs. Dayton, Seiberling, and Kelly-Springfield sold them. Firestone and U.S. Royal made the originals.

Thanks. I didn't think so, but, as usual, the owner claimed original spare.

Didn't the mid/ late 70's Lincoln Marks come with dual stripe? Were these a dealer option or just owner add on?

I don't care about the whitewall. I was talking about the black pattern above it.

I don't believe that "Dayton" was ever an OEM supplier.

To this old thread

All tires since at least the 1970s came with a date code.
Prior to 2000 that date code would be 3 digits. So one would have to guess on the decade.
After 2000 the date code is 4 digits so no guessing on decade.

If the subject tire had no date code it would be very old and lend some evidence of being original. However the brand used on original installation was enough for that.
