Just picked this one up yesterday, kind of an impulse buy. Not sure what to do with it yet, needs a lot of rust repair. Has a 400 2V and I think the only option it has is a rear window defroster lol.
cheers

Re: 1972 Custom 500
I remember those! And in that exact color, too! That seemed to be a popular color.
My grandmother had a, I think it was a 1969, LTD Landau that had hide away headlights. It was a cool looking car. I only got to drive it down the block I'm pretty sure it had a 351 4 barrel in it and ran on premium. She replaced it with a 1972 Mercury Marquis, that had a 429... with only a 2 barrel on it! Why did they bother?
Not long after 1972, (in my opinion of course) Ford started building the ugliest full-size Ford cars ever. When they later down-sized the full-size Ford in 1979, they then looked better to me.
Speaking of low-options, I had a '64 Galaxie 2dr. sedan, 3 spd. auto, with one option... a clock! And it never kept good time. Would speed up in summer, in winter it ran slow, and when far enough below zero, time would stop!
