Re: Lincoln Parts Suppliers: AKA The Usual Suspects
Booster Dewey has a website now. It's just one page, but it is a website nonetheless. I updated the first post with the link.

Re: Lincoln Parts Suppliers: AKA The Usual Suspects
Thanks so much for the link as many boosters are failing now and Dewey's reputation is good. The website is actually two pages counting the price chart. Note the chrome plating $130 on page one is wrong, show chrome is actually $250 to $400. Next time I get the booster out of the Linc I will be shipping it to Portland.

Re: Lincoln Parts Suppliers: AKA The Usual Suspects
I just had the exact opposite experience with Baker's. I called for some parts on Monday, they handled the order immediately, and the parts were delivered Tuesday via UPS. I've called the tech line and gotten sage, if typically Yankee gruff, advice.

Re: Lincoln Parts Suppliers: AKA The Usual Suspects
Let's save this thread for the mentioning of suppliers and create other threads for feedback about the vendors themselves. If the vendors ever decide to come to this forum, they can address any particular issues themselves if they choose.

Re: Lincoln Parts Suppliers: AKA The Usual Suspects
What I'd like to see, Gary, is a shop that knows what a 1961 to 65 Lincoln PCA transmission is.

Re: Lincoln Parts Suppliers: AKA The Usual Suspects
You think your series is forgotten? I just found out that all MEL Engine (58-60) equipped cars also used an earlier version of the LX, including 59/60 BIRD.Dan Szwarc wrote:

This is the man. He used to offer them on an exchange basis or rebuild yours plus he can pump them up.
Did you click on the referring URL?

Re: Lincoln Parts Suppliers: AKA The Usual Suspects
The FORD CRUISEOMATIC Series (introduced in 1958) (became Dual-Range as compared to the earlier Single Range) came in three capacity versions to handle different car weights/torque ratings (actually there were at least two versions before this redesign but I am still researching those).mikem wrote:

The FX (CRUISEOMATIC) was a 3/S for normal usage, an MX (MERC-O-MATIC Multi-Drive) for performance engines and an LX (or HX) (TWIN-TURBO) that was LINCOLN dedicated. The PCA trans referred to here frequently is the LX version used in slab sides of the period. FORD also introduced a 2/S Trans (FORD-O-MATIC PX) for economy applications in 1959.

Gary the PBA was used on the Lincolns(58-60) which you probably know and some Mecrurys as well probably.
