Good! It shows the wheel grain, controls, and any wheel trim, etc.

And Dan, you might want to change the title unless you only want 1970 models :)

Sauceman, looking at the photo you posted made me feel like I was behind the wheel of my first Lincoln, a '76 Continental sedan. My interior was the exact same color, and the view down that long hood, oh, the happy memories that brought back to me! Someday, I'll have another '76, but it will be a coupe, if I can find one. Maybe I will have good luck like Dan did when he found his dream '74.

Mike, is yours a Town Car or Collector Series?

I noticed it has the wood grain in the steering wheel like 1975 and earlier.

I think we should mention the cruise control yes or no for the early models that had different wheels based on that

Hi,

As far as steering wheels on the Mark IV/V/Continental Town Car's go...

The wood insert on the steering wheels around the rim, as shown in Saucemans photo (gold car), was available on cars made from 7/74, until 2/76. At that point, the wheel was discontinued in favor of the plainer 'house' Ford wheel, shown in saucemans' other photo (red car). It was only brought back on the '78 Diamond Jubilee Mark V, and the '79 Collectors' Series Mark V and Continental, but in a different (Ebony) woodgrain pattern.
Just the FoMoCo stuff...
