Page 9: Need Real Pics of Front Ends of 66 thru 69s
On Page 9 of the manual, there are grainy black and white copies of front ends pulled from a Motor manual.
I would like to replace these drawings with real pictures of the appropriate models. I have a 66 and can easily provide a pic, but I will need them to 67 to 69. The pic should be straight-on and level with the height of the car. Attached is the page.

1967
I cropped this from a photo I already have, but I can take a more "straight on" shot if needed.

Re: Page 9: Need Real Pics of Front Ends of 66 thru 69s
I looked at the original pic and it was taken before I replaced the spring in the hood ornament. I will take a fresh photo tomorrow after I remove the "Lincoln" front vanity plate. (I presume you want these photos of a "clean" front end (sans license plates, badges, etc.)Dan Szwarc wrote:I want to see the whole front end including the windshield, It's more natural.

That is perfect.
One more request: higher resolution. Make it 2048 in width if you have the resolution.

The best I can do with the current pic is 1972x1205 (below), that I took with my smart phone. I can use my digital camera and take another one tomorrow; it may also be a little less fuzzy. Should I remove the "Lincoln" vanity plate or doesn't it matter to you?

The vanity plate is great. It's like you put it there for the shot and better than blurring out a real plate because you are paranoid.

Dan,
Not sure if yours has auto dim but mine does if you need it. I had this in my pic files and photoshopped it and it came out pretty well. We don't need front plates in PA so I have 1966 on mine. Width is 2048.

Nice photoshoppage! I have a complete autodimmer system for my '67, but not installed yet. I would like to find a near-perfect to NOS "eye" lense and trim piece before I install it. The trim and lense I have is nice, but I want near perfect. Nice to have front end pics that show options. In mine, you can spy the passenger side view mirror if you look closely.

ekm,
Very kool on that passenger side mirror. Very rare and VERY expensive if you can find 'em. Didn't pick it up when I looked at the pics of your car as I was actually looking at the front end and bumper and missed it.
Good luck finding that lens and molding NOS or close to perfect. The one on the car is orignial to the car as far as I know. I have 2 back-up auto dim systems only one has the lens and it is no where near the condition of the one on the car. But !!! If you find 2 you can be sure I will take one...lol.

Okay, here's a clearer photo at 2025 x 1258. When I zoom in, I can almost make out the FoMoCo logo on the headlights

lol ekm.. Funny you mentioned the Ford Logo in the headlight. I just noticed the other day that the high beam on the passenger side on mine might be an original as I noticed the Ford logo on the headlight. My car has 50,500 miles.
