66-69 Authenticity Manual Update Special sub-Forum
The LCOC would like to update the Authenticity Manual for the 66-69 Lincolns. I am going to be a part of that effort. I hope others will be, too.
The forum is here: http://www.thelincolnforum.net/phpbb3/v ... m.php?f=51
The goal is to provide more pictures, more details, issue corrections, etc.
The forum will be under very tight control. Only a few select people will be able to create posts. Everyone will be allowed to post replies, provide information, etc. This will prevent too many threads/topics from being active at any time.
First, I need people's help. I need people to try to create a topic so I can properly get the permissions down. (I think this has been accomplished.)
Start by replying to this post. I want to make sure everyone can see this post. Send me a PM if you are not able to post a reply.
Second, I would like to have 66 to 69 owners volunteer their car for pictures. Yes, you will be taking them. We will also need as much input as possible.

I think what you mean is to click on the NEW TOPIC button at the upper left, but as you know, that button does not appear for anyone not on your select list. Ergo your experiment seems to be working.

That's what I wanted to hear. Now, I need someone to volunteer for the purpose of testing permissions to have access to post a topic. Are you game, Ken?

I just gave you permissions, Ken. Do you see the New Topic button? Can you make a topic?

I'm lost here, Dan! I clicked on your 1966 Convertible link and got the text but no photos. Obviously I need to learn a little something more to get into this century!

I'm not sure which link you are referring to, Steve, but at least you are here!
If you can articulate what you want to fix or update in the manual, my forum members and I will take it from there. You will get to see the great power of the internet and TheLincolnForum members.

I have loads of pics of my '67 sedan and willing to take specific pics as needed. I also have loads of NOS parts in my stash. I can take photos of those, too, if needed.

Re: 66-69 Authenticity Manual Update Special sub-Forum
Unfortunately, I have not heard from Steve since he posted last or I set up this area. I hope to be able to work on it more in the fall when the weather turns sour, but right now, I do not have the time to extensively support the manual update activity. We still want to gather information, but need a few leaders to take some topics by the horns and work on updating pictures and details.
