What topics should be in this forum?

Post by Dan Szwarc »

Please post suggestions as to what topics should be in this forum.

How to remove the oil pan.

How to open the trunk on a convertible.

How do I remove the PS pump (61-69)?

Buying a car. What to look for? (This one would be HUGE).

Starting a car that has been sitting a long time. What to do first?

Others?

This is definitely a must for the sticky forum. Lincoln Land has most brochures and production info on-line for reference. This includes data books, color and upholstery, and owner's manuals for most cars from 1956 to 2008.

60's Lincolns - Blinking headlight issues and correct wheel size, offset, bolt pattern, etc. would be a good ones. They always seems to come up.

A guide to troubleshooting the vacuum system for headlight covers.

How many times can new topics start up about leaky headlight covers, where we all repeat and repost the same advice we already gave the last time it was asked, before it's clear this should be a sticky? Even though there are a couple of slight variations in the vacuum systems from model to model, the basic principles (and typical culprits) are all the same.

How about a "What's wrong with Lincoln?" or "Why isn't Lincoln on top anymore?" or "Why do new cars suck so much compared to old cars?" topic. It should have infinite post capacity and be hidden far from public view.

How about instead of a sticky forum, something similar to this: http://www.lincolnsonline.com/tech/tech.html organized in categories?

Note: I don't want suggestions. i want links to existing topics I can put in this forum. I don't have time to search and find them. If you see a topic that is common, post a link to it here. When I put a shadow link to it, I will update your message showing it as completed.
