63 Lincoln Exterior Door Handles

The exterior door handles on our 1963 are spotted and dull. I bought a replacement handle on Ebay, but it's slightly different and doesn't fit. (See picture 1; old handle is on the bottom, "replacement" handle is on top.). (Insert bad word here.) Wondering if the replacement handle is for a later year Continental. 65? 66-69? The replacement handle has the numbers 12-24 and 7 cast but no part number. Does anyone know?

By the way, I'm in the market for a good quality replacement handle--left rear/right front--for a '63 sedan...

Don't replace, refinish. Many chrome places out there. Wayne

My 67 has different handles than my 62, and any spares I have are pitted or crazed. Wayne is correct, unless you just want "good enough" handles.

Thanks for the advice about rechrome vs. replace.

Can anyone give me an ID on the handle in the picture? I'd like to know so I can sell or give it away instead of throwing it in the trash! I can provide more measurements if helpful.

That's bad luck on that darn door handle. For something that size I think Wayne is correct, re-chroming is a very good way to go in my opinion.

Still looking for help on identifying the door handle. Can anyone measure a 1966-1969 door handle so I can compare it to this picture? Please?
