Oh glad to hear it. No, I'm going to stick with the carb. I have a brand new 1406 and I know it will run great. I'm like less is more on this build. On my truck it was fuel injected and all sorts of wiring. I want to keep #JFKRide more simple. I have something else I'll be posting about soon. Can't wait to get my hands on it. Will be an awesome project!

Updates for Tony's car:

He had an issue with this EFI kit and it turns out he had an older kit he purchased from someone. The company had some issues with the kit and offered to replace it less shipping. He has the new EFI kit on... tunnel was trimmed under rear seat so the car will sit lower... he wants to do a fresh undercoating on the car soon.

Great Lincoln podcast Jason. What fuel pump did Boss Bolin use for the FiTech?

That would mean that to have the fuel gauge work, the sending unit is the old traditional unit and the fuel is pumped out and returns thru a separate area? At least that is how I interpret the deviant designs web page photos of the tank with the fuel injection tank modification.

Thank man for the feedback. Jeff at Devious installs Aeromotive fuel pumps I believe if the user wants that. burnski maybe your right. I forget the brand. See the first link below with the fuel pump siting in it. Tony got the new EFI kit in and its installed. He should have his car back this weekend as the guy we know was doing a few more things on it.

Fuel tank/pump: http://www.deviouscustoms.com/store/efi ... el%20tanks

FiTech: http://www.deviouscustoms.com/store/fit ... 0injection

So factory sending unit with the EFI pump.

Tony wanted to do something fun for the holidays. He installed a red piece of vinyl on the roof of the car and slapped a Christmas tree on it prior to the weekend Griswold style! Oh and can't forget the red lights!

If nothing else it would be a GREAT Christmas card for the holidays!

Tony has done a lot to the car the past few months. I helped him today on a few things. Biggest updates are Fi-Tech sent him an updated kit and the car has been running better. Transmission finally went out on the car and he had his transmission guy rebuild it. Same guy that built my 67 C6. He is a master and only charges us $100 to drop and reinstall the transmission. The overall cost is lower than any other quote I've heard for a Lincoln transmission. They use the guy a ton due to their truck stop when they send over big rig transmissions.

Love this passenger mirror. Top notch quality.

He has all powdered parts for the motor but prior to installing them, he is going to pull the motor, reseal everything and detail it prior to reinstalling.

These are from last weekend. Chris Dunn always cruised over to hang out a bit. He brought his famous sedan with the Paxton Supercharger. I took all of these pics!

So his car now has an entirely new electronic fuel injected (EFI) system, gas tank, powder coated suspension, trunk upholstery, rebuilt transmission, etc. He still wants to pull the motor as I mentioned and detail it. Also clean the bottom of the car real nice and re-seal it with a Rhino Liner type material. Car drives like a dream! Very smooth and fun to cruise.

The car was a hit at the local car show last weekend. Tony's plan came together. Red airbagged 65, wide white wall tires and restored Scotty vintage camper painted to match. We did run into an issue and he ended up changing the brake booster. The rear metering valve was also leaking so we are going to bypass it and make a few new brake lines for it. We have all the air leaks out of the ssuspension expect one fitting we need to change. He does still want to pull the motor, reseal everything on it with new gaskets, install water diverters, etc. More to come on Project Red Sled! Enjoy the pics!

Kev's Classics in Spring Hil did all the work on the suspension install

He will be airbagging the Scotty camper in the future. The trailer hitch is from a vintage Lincoln. Rare option/part from what I understand.
