Re: 1966 LCC resto-mod conversion
So I got my back seats today, and since my daughter is not here her bedroom seems to be a perfect place to keep them.
I put seat heaters in the back seats as well.
Now just waiting on the fronts to be finished.

NICE! What size are the push pins you used for the seatbacks? After upholstery the stock pins aren't long enough to engage the holes in the seats on mine. I was trying to find some plastic ones like that but I can only find the short ones - and they are never big enough diameter.

Re: 1966 LCC resto-mod conversion
I had the same problem. I don't know a part number but they are the found on the 2007 up Expeditions. There are 3 of them that hold the front wheel lip molding on, they go from the underside through the molding and into the fender. They are about 3 inches long with an 1 1/2 head.

I'd rather sit on the new seats than the chair in the back ground shots. Looks great!

Re: 1966 LCC resto-mod conversion
Thanks for the compliment, I didn't do much but haul the piece back and forth to the upholstery shop. The guy that did my seats said he was impressed with the quality and the fit of the covers and these cost less than half of what some of the interior people were charging for covers. That price included the embroidery work and 2 yards of extra material to do the arm rests and door panels. The guy was super nice sent leather samples twice as I changed my mind on colors and got the covers out quick. Just an FYI for anyone looking at interior work.

Nice work...
Never guess how many folks tell me "I never knew sound would travel through the seat material."

Re: 1966 LCC resto-mod conversion
I got the idea from your post, not many options for the convertibles. Thanks

Re: 1966 LCC resto-mod conversion
Thanks Detroit, glad to see you back and making progress. Sorry about your set back on the trunk. My body guy used the epoxy primer and it was giving him fits sanding it, loading up bad. Figured out it need about 3 days to fully cure and then it sanded like a dream, this was done during 80-90 degree days also. This was good high end primer, don't remember the brand, but my body guy said "that's the most expensive f*****g primer I have ever bought" want to say it was something like Glausart made in Germany.

Re: 1966 LCC resto-mod conversion
talk to me about the speaker setup. is it just for bass? or it's actually a speaker that points towards the rear?
