My 1964 Continental Sedan

Post by 996Turbo »

This is my 1964 Continental. It will be a nice day driver and cruiser. It is at Mr. Norm's garage in Machesney Park, IL right now, they are finishing up the paint. I will be going to get it in a couple of weeks and installing all of the trim at home. I had it painted the factory royal maroon paint. It has the complete Mobsteel kit on it with accuride self leveling controls. We also cut the tunnel on the car. It has gearhead engineering front disc brakes on it. The wheels are Forgiato Concavo (22x9 and 22x10.5) the tires are 265/30/22 on front and 295/25/22 on back. I have had just about every piece of SS straightened and polished. I will be doing the interior in the winter. The stereo will be 2 infinity Kappa 10s, Infinity Kappa 6.5 componets, Infinity Kappa 6x8, and Kicker IX500.4 and Kicker IX 1000.1 amps. The car also has a 200 amp alternator and a dual battery setup. I will update with pictures as it progresses. The first 3 pictures are of the car when I bought it.

Cool project. Glad you kept the original maroon colour. I think it's very classy.

Will that disc brake conversion kit work with the original 15" wheels?

Thanks! I can't wait to get all of the stainless and chrome back on it. I believe that the disc brake conversion will work with the late model 15" wheel, like from an 80's Chevy or GMC. Here is a link to his website. He is a member of this forum. The kit is awesome!

Looks good. I love the paint and interior colors, but then I'm a bit biased.

I remember shipping that kit to Mr. Norm's. Nice to see the car it went on!

Updated pics. I have gotten all of the interior fabrics and my wife has started on making all of the new seat covers. I will get some pics of them when they are done.
