Okay, thats really cool! A small detail that will make people think but not something huge. Nice.

:snooty: Thanks Darryl and Rob. Any Lincoln maniac is welcome to my shop.
Going to try and post these pictures again. I kept getting errors during upload the last few days.
Installed the door handle pockets this weekend. I should be receiving the stainless handles from the water jet guy this week.
Planning out the cut. Decided to move them to stock location instead of door face.

#Deviantlincoln doors are going to be the death of me. Spent hours getting them aligned as good as possible. Perfecting the door gaps today. 3/16" +/- 1/64 is my goal. Had to add to rear door to get it tight. Top is before, bottom is done. Hard to see in pictures. The little things I guess.
I don't believe in using bondo to work gaps. And really impossible on these doors anyway.

Wow. just wow. I can envision the handles now. What a great display of fabrication.

And about the gaps... I feel your pain. My car is by no means a show car but I like even gaps. I have a coupe so I have half the work you do but I think I pulled out most of my hair getting the gaps as even as I could - I didn't fill or cut - just adjusted. Then came the windows... whew.

If the car isn't sitting on its wheels right now, those doors will shift the moment you put it on the ground!

Yes, its on the ground on its wheels. I noticed that on the lift, gaps widened a bit between the front and rear doors.

Working pretty hard on the lincoln. Everything needed for top latching in the rear is fabricated, door handles are in. Finally making steps forward.
