Awe chucks Dan.
The top is not to bad. Two guys no problem but it will get heavier with glass and all the trim. But if for some reason I were to take it off without a hoist of some sort it would take four people for sure to be safe and not drop a corner or something in nice fresh paint. I figure in the summer it will be on, with A/C kicking and rainy season. Then off for winter cruising, remember I'm in Florida.

Made a bitchen trim piece for the #Deviantlincoln today. This is the piece between the backseat and the deck. Temporarily rivited in. Once factory trim is upholstered it will be full rivited in. I have drawings somewhere of all this I'll dig up and post soon. I got all my cad files off to the machine shop and laser shop for my door handles and lift off top catches and stuff. So excited to get them done.

Thanks manapiko and Darryl. I'm glad to be back at it too.
Been working hard the last few days. So many little things that don't make for exciting pictures. Spent about six hours on the hood.
Hood was very skewed. Off a different car and replaced fender.

PS front corner. Had to remove about 1/8" to get square.

PS rear hood was short by almost 1/4", so added to square up.

Hood with material added for proper gapped hood. What a pain.

That would be a pain. Lucky you have the tools and skills to do it. Was there that much difference in the stampings of the hoods or is your car just a bit out of alignment due to replacing and aligning other body panels? You're the kind of guy I would want to work on my cars. Do you know how many so called professional body guys wouldn't even care if the gap was off?

Judging from damage the PS front fender had. It was in a small collision. I replaced the fender to exactly the same place with a perfect rust free piece from Tim Nill (Lincoln ranch). Hood was off another doner. So considering the entire front clip is welded on, only choice really is to fix hood. One of my biggest pet peeves is bad gaps, to small and you get chips, too big just looks like crap. I see it all the time at car shows. Easy way to ruin a 10k paint job.

My son Gavin killing it today blocking down the filler primer on the hood of the #Deviantlincoln . He did such a great job and actually said he enjoyed it and felt accomplished. Proud dad here.

Had a pita set back decision today. The catylized primer I sprayed the other day on the deck panel did not cure. Bad hardner I guess. So my friend Eric and I had to strip it all down and starting back over. Hopefully three times a charm.

I've been working this week on some miscellaneous things including prototyping my flush door handles. I should have one working this weekend.

Put about ten hours into the car Saturday and another 7 today. Fabricated all of the door handle pockets today and got the driver side installed Saturday. Also fixed the top door edge of driver rear door that had some rust on the inside edge i had overlooked. Today Eric helped out and we got the passenger side installed and the key hole welded up. Moving along.
