Naw Darryl, your car and build looks great. I've read all your threads, nice work.
Weekly Deviant Lincoln update:
Been working the JOB this week so no actual work on the car but did stop by my friends shop to make some prototype lenses. This was clear acrylic with red LED edge lit. Going to try red acrylic next. Areas I'm thinking of using this type of thing is the light strip in rear bumper, door sills, speaker box and maybe somewhere in engine compartment.

Fellas, been working hard on the Deviant Lincoln. Worked last weekend on the bumpers. Picked up some damaged doner bumpers from Tim Nill (Lincoln ranch) to use some sections to make fill panels. Front still needs some metal finishing.
Checking out shapes

Fit, tack welded, lots of hammering, then fully welded.

I thinking about welding this top section to the bottom edge to really finish it off nice.

More to come. Working rear bumper this weekend.

Been working on the rear bumper. Added a piece of another rear bumper to fill the gap. Tacked into place then carefully cut a new opening for the plate. Boxed out aand built a pivot so it can rotate closed. Still lots of welding and finishing to do.
Two bumpers sectioned together.

Still have to figure out motor and linkages.
It's very James Bond.

Looks good bro! Keep the updates coming and thanks for mentioning Tim over at the Lincoln Ranch. Called him and my new bumper piece should be on it's way soon.

Darrel, no problem Tim is. Great guy with fair prices.
Wixom64, yes. I cut off the roof. Reinforced inside and out the rocker sill area, cross braced behind the rear seat. Grafted in the headerbow from a vert top. Using windshield trim and hooks from vert. Using 57 T-bird latches for the rear. Created a panel between the rear seat and the trunk. Roof lifts off for removal. Probably way to much work. But will be different and unique. Thanks for your interest.

Hey James, I just came across your build this morning and read the whole thing, great work! My car is out getting bagged right now and when I get it back I'm hoping to do the b pillar removal. It looks like you have a bit of a different take on wiring up the windows. I would love to see a diagram of what you had in mind or pics if you have gotten that far. Also I might be interested in the door handles. I hope this build is still going strong and haven't had time for updates.

Hey Guys,
Been a while I know. Been working hard and just recently set up a new shop with my Lincoln at the top of the list. I started a new company Echelon Design Works and I am working hard creating a line of custom parts specific to the 1961-69 Lincoln Continentals. Basically parts I am building for my car are now available as a product. Please check out some of our stuff at DetroitDeviant.com when you have time.
As soon as I remember how to post pictures on here I will post an update.
