pulled the trigger on something Ive always wanted to do LOUVERS

I ordered two pre punched louver panels and comenced on tearing apart my perfect hood!

just laying on top of the hood

cut out portions

welded in solid....lots of welding!

some black primer

some repair and repaint on the front

repaired the riught quarter where a tire blow out crushed the lower quarter, and also shaved the emblem holes

Now that I see it, it looks great. It would look even better if you lined up the louvres with the slots in the grille.

just getting some is an act of congress, but found a rod shop in LA that makes the stamped metal sets. I just had mine done differnt as most are angled I wanted mine straight. and they are 3 inch stamped...would be cool to line up with the grill but would deffinitly need a smaller punch...then metal warpage would be a huge factor then
