Hi, can anybody give me an advice what shocks and struths would fit my 72 Mark 4?
At Rockauto there are so many listed.
Thanks!

Re: Shocks & Struths 1972 Mark 4
A Mark IV would only have shocks. There are no (MacPherson) struts for that model.
For shocks, I would not get adjustable or load adjusting unless I was towing or adding significant load to a Lincoln. (Which I do not do)
And I would not get economy shocks either.
This leaves daily driver or increased handling/performance.
Without any further research I would tend to buy the increased handling/performance shock. Especially in the front with the weight of that big block.
Especially if I am doing this from outside the US.

Phoenix - Yeah, it's hot, however it's a dry heat

Re: Shocks & Struths 1972 Mark 4
I know I’m a little late to the party, but this is what I bought for my 73 MKIV.
It was the highest level shock available at the time, though now rock auto shows some bilsteins available for the car.
It rides differently. It’s more jumpy than bouncy. But at the time I replaced the shocks, I rebuilt the suspension as well, with new springs front and rear. So I do not know what these shocks would do on original/worn springs.
Good luck!
