78 Mark V Shocks

Post by Buckeye Steve »

What would be a good set of reasonably priced shock for my new 78 Mark V with a 400 ci engine. Prices are all over the place.

Pricing hopefully is based on the quality of the shock.

Materials .... like
The internal seals and external bushings
What metal is used
In some parts if the metal is hardened

Design -
mono tube or twin tube
Gas charged or non-gas. What kind of gas
Piston & rod diameter

Generally but not always you get what you pay

Action
Phoenix - Yeah, it's hot, however it's a dry heat
