I'm sure many of you already know this, but found this in the '67 Service Bulletins and just thought I'd post it.

Re: Starter Drive/Flywheel Replacement '67 Bulletin
Reviving an old topic...
The flywheel in my 63 LCC is cracked. The usual suspects sell a new flywheel, but they all note that you must use a starter drive from a 66 or 67. Ok, so I've looked for starter rebuild kits and/or new starters, and they all have the same part numbers for 61-67. I did a search here and that is how I found this topic, but what is the deal? If they changed the starter drive in 66-67, wouldn't there be different part numbers for the starter or rebuild kits?
Anyone else replace their flywheel with one of the new type?
Thanks,
