It's been a long time since I've posted on my Zephyr progress so here goes. I ended up getting a new block and having it rebuilt. All is good now, the engine is installed and I'm just finishing with the electrics and putting the hood back on..................should be all set for this summer!
Here's the new engine being installed:

Looks great, John...did you stuff those spark plug wires yourself? What do you suppose it would have taken for Ford to have made those tubes just 1/4 of an inch larger in diameter? If they had done that the job would probably take minutes instead of hours! Wayne

Wayne, I would love to know how they did those at the factory. I people T have have done it and they say it's a nightmare. Just putting the spark plug wires in their proper places St the distributor was maddening. But it all worked out and I love this Zephyr.

I would love to know how they did it at the factory, too. But mostly I want to know why, after doing it at the factory, they didn't say, "Gosh, let's make these tubes bigger!" I cannot think of any easy way to do the job, and I can't imagine that the factory had a secret. I'm sure we'd all know it by now. Wayne
