granted Lorelei was built in Decemeber...so maybe the guys were in a rush for the holidays and just slapped on the stickers at the end and punched their cards to go get some eggnog lol

I never noticed until I went to apply the decal and then I saw that the door box was made differently.

I've been out the past four days in a row. A sunny day, 70's tunes on the radio. It's a moment when time stands still. :D

My friend was married Saturday past. Took him and his bride in the Lincoln. It's first official function. :-)

Advanced the timing 2 more degrees to 18 BTDC. Vacuum is a steady 21.5 inches. It's is amazing what two degrees advance did for performance around town. No pinging except very slightly at WOT. I may bump it up to 20 BTDC. It drives like a new car, it even smells like one.

The decals arrived today. :D Very fine work from Osborn Reproductions. I was going to make copies but the sign shop told me that it would cost more than just buying another set.

Here is what the trunk decal should look like. They didn't have a 72 so I ordered a 70 and it's only half the size so I ordered a 73. Will know in two weeks.

I've been waiting six years to post this picture.

It's done. What a trip. .Worked on cars a bit. Before this came along, I maybe had a total of 350 hours actually turning a wrench on a car over the past many years of holding a license. I used to build model cars and surprisingly you learn a lot when building cars in miniature. Did home reno projects, a few odds and ends here and there but nothing of this scope and complexity. Would I do it again. Yes. Though it might be 10 or 15 years from now.

That's the question that came to my mind seeing the DONE stamp. I'll state the obvious...that motor looks brilliant.
